Locksmith software that runs the whole shop

Nyrano is business software built for locksmiths, with automotive work at the center. This page walks through what it does, who it suits, and what it does not do.

What is locksmith software?

Locksmith software is a business management tool for a locksmith shop: it holds the jobs, customers, stock, prices, invoices and payments in one place, so the shop does not run on memory, paper and chat threads. Most locksmiths who use software today use a general field service tool made for plumbers and electricians. Nyrano is made for locksmiths, and it treats vehicles, keys and transponders as first-class records instead of free-text notes.

What Nyrano does, module by module

Money Charges, payments by cash, card terminal or bank transfer, partial payments, expenses, revenue and profit reports
Invoicing Draft invoices pushed to your invoicing platform, finished PDFs stored with the job

Jobs: from the phone call to the payment

Every job has one page and one status. You can book the work straight away or send a price first. A job moves through clear stages (new, scheduled, on the way, in progress, completed, paid), and the app always shows the one next step instead of a wall of buttons. Parts used on the job come out of stock when you add them, and the charge, payment and invoice hang off the same record. A year later you can open the job and see what was done, with which parts, for how much.

Quotes the customer can approve from their phone

Build a quote from line items, add a discount or a valid-until date, and send it by link. The customer opens the link, sees the price with tax, and approves or declines. When they approve, the job moves forward on its own and you get a notification. Quotes that pass their date expire automatically, so the pipeline shows what is really open. You can also mark a quote as approved in person when the customer says yes at the counter.

Customers with their vehicles attached

A customer record holds the person and every car they own. Each car stores make, model, year, VIN, plate, the key blank, the transponder chip, the remote frequency, the bitting, and free notes. When the "you made me a key last year, I need a spare" call comes, the answer takes seconds, and the quote is based on what the last job really involved.

Inventory that counts itself

Every key blank, chip, remote shell and tool is an item with a quantity, a cost and a selling price. Stock goes down when a job uses a part and goes up when a supplier order arrives. Each item can have a reorder threshold, and the low-stock list tells you what to buy before you run out in a parking lot. Supplier orders keep the price you paid each time, so you can see what a part really costs you over the year.

Money, invoices and reports

Nyrano records what you charged, what was paid, how, and what is still owed, including partial payments and "collect later". Expenses and stock purchases sit next to revenue, so the profit figure is real. For legally valid invoices Nyrano connects to your invoicing platform: it sends the sale as a draft, you issue it there, and the finished PDF is stored with the job. SmartBill is the first supported platform, which also covers e-Factura for shops in Romania. Reports export to PDF for your accountant.

Team, dispatch and live arrival times

For shops with more than one person, the owner sets who can see and do what, with ready-made roles for dispatchers, shop staff and field technicians. The dispatch board shows jobs by status and by technician. When a technician taps "head out" in the mobile app, the dispatcher sees them on the map, and the customer can get a link with a live arrival time. Solo operators can switch the team features off and keep a simpler app.

Follow-ups that ask for the review at the right moment

After a job is paid, Nyrano sends the customer a short WhatsApp message from your own business number asking if everything works. A happy reply gets your Google review link. An unhappy reply is flagged to you right away, so a sticking key becomes a quick return visit instead of a one-star review. You set the delay and the quiet hours, the same customer is not asked for a review twice within 90 days, and anyone who replies "stop" is never messaged again.

Who is Nyrano for?

Nyrano suits independent automotive locksmiths and small locksmith teams: a solo operator working from a van, a shop with a counter and one or two vans, or an owner who dispatches a handful of technicians. It is a good fit when most of the work is car keys, transponders, remotes and lockouts, and when the business currently runs on paper, spreadsheets and WhatsApp threads. Read more on the automotive locksmith software page.

What does Nyrano not do?

Nyrano is not a key code database and it does not decode a VIN into a key code. It stores the key data you enter for each vehicle, and you keep using your code lookup service for the codes themselves. It does not program keys or talk to key programming tools. It has no call center features such as call masking or an answering service. There is no iPhone app yet: the mobile app runs on Android, and the web app opens in a phone browser. If your business is mostly commercial master key systems or access control projects, a tool built around those will serve you better.

How much does Nyrano cost?

Nyrano is free during the early-access beta. New shops join through a waitlist and are brought on in small batches, with help importing customers and inventory from a spreadsheet. Paid plans will follow the beta, and the prices are not published yet. You can book a live demo at any point to see the product and ask about timing.

Where is the data stored?

The database is hosted in the European Union and handled under GDPR. Each shop sees only its own data, and inside a shop the owner decides what each role can see. Customers of the shop can ask for their data to be deleted, and the app has a built-in flow for those requests. The details are in the Privacy Policy, the Data Processing Agreement and the list of sub-processors.
